After receiving countless emails from followers requesting mini-packs, I finally took the plunge and did it. I created comprehensive mini-units that can be used for weekly homework, assessment of CCSS, close reading or guided reading. So here’s what I did… I chose five passages out of each monthly unit, the corresponding text based questions, graphic organizers, and writing activities. Each set of passages are non-fiction pieces with text dependent questions aligned to informational text standards. Read about each one below. Then, take a minute to read about some of my newer products. As many of you know, I lost the use of my left hand so even though I’m moving slower, I’m more thoughtful but tough on the final product. With text complexity increasing, the push for more close reading, and the arrival of Common Core State Standards these tools will help your students succeed.
The above monthly packets are completed and posted on TpT. At this time, I’m working on getting March finished. Right when I was on a roll, I ran into some problems with Acrobat and things came to a screeching halt. Now, I’m on a summertime European business trip.
